Verti Sure is a biological insecticide based on Verticillium lecanii, an entomopathogenic fungus that helps to control various sucking pests in many crops. It is a natural product which acts safely on the environment and does not harm the beneficial insect. The spores of Verticillium lecanii when sprayed on crops, infect the harmful insects like aphids, whitefly and thrips by direct contact. It is suitable for use in organic and conventional farming both and can be mixed with other bioproducts for better pest control management. Mode of Action: Verticillium lecanii act by contact and infection process. When the spores come in contact with the body of the target pest, they germinate and penetrate into the insect body through the cuticle. The fungus grows inside and uses the body content of the insect as a nutrient. After a few days the insect die due to internal infection and fungus emerges outside spreading more spores to infect other insects present on crops.
