TENSHI is an advanced fungicide combination of Tebuconazole and Sulphur in water dispersible granule form. It is developed for control of a wide range of fungal diseases in many crops like wheat, pulses, fruits, vegetables and oilseeds. Tebuconazole is a systemic triazole fungicide known for its strong curative and protective activity against major fungal pathogens. Sulphur is a multi-site contact fungicide which also acts as a secondary nutrient for plants improving their growth and metabolic activities. The combination gives dual mode of defence and longer protection period even in high disease pressure. It is suitable for integrated disease management programs and safe for most beneficial organisms when used at recommended doses.
Mode of Action Tebuconazole works by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol in fungal cell membranes. This disruption in cell membrane formation stops the growth and reproduction of fungus from inside the plant system. Sulphur acts on fungal spores through direct contact by inhibiting respiration process and destroying spore germination. Together they give both systemic and contact action which controls existing infection and prevents new ones.
