Product Description Quizalofop Ethyl 10 EC is a selective post emergence herbicide widely used for controlling annual and perennial grassy weeds in broadleaf crops. It is quickly absorbed through the leaves of target weeds and then translocated to the growing points where it stops further growth. The formulation provides excellent control on weeds like Echinochloa, Cynodon, Dactyloctenium, Digitaria and other common grassy species. It is commonly used in soybean. Quizalofop Ethyl has strong systemic movement and remains active for a long duration which ensures clean fields and reduces competition during critical crop stages. Mode of Action Quizalofop Ethyl inhibits acetyl CoA carboxylase enzyme which is essential for fatty acid synthesis in grasses. This inhibition causes disruption in lipid metabolism leading to cessation of cell growth at meristematic regions of weed plants. The visible symptoms appear as chlorosis and necrosis of leaves followed by complete death of grassy weeds.
