PYNAAZ 50 is a systemic insecticide containing Pymetrozine 50 percent water dispersible granules. It is highly effective against sucking pests, especially brown planthopper, white backed planthopper and aphids in various crops. It is absorbed by leaves and stems and then moves in the plant sap to control insects feeding on plants. The product does not just kill but it stops the feeding immediately which prevents further crop damage. It works well even at low dosage and gives a long protection period. It is also considered soft on beneficial insects like lady bird beetles and spiders which help in natural pest control.
Mode of Action
Pymetrozine acts on chordotonal organs of the insect which are stretch receptors that control feeding behaviour. After ingestion or contact, the insect loses the ability to feed within a few hours and then dies because of starvation.
