Product Description Propiconazole 13.9%+ Difenoconazole 13.9% EC is a systemic fungicide mixture widely used for control sheath blight and dirty panicle disease in paddy. The combination belongs to the triazole group and provides broad spectrum activity against sheath blight and dirty panicle disease. It moves inside the plant tissue and protects new growth as well as cures the existing infection. The dual active ingredients provide better disease management and reduce risk of resistance development in pathogens. Mode of Action Both Propiconazole and Difenoconazole inhibit the biosynthesis of ergosterol which is an essential component of fungal cell membrane. Without ergosterol the fungal cells lose their integrity and stop growing leading to death of the pathogen. The molecules are absorbed by leaves and stems and translocated acropetally inside the plant giving long duration protection. The mixture provides both preventive and curative action which ensures effective disease management at different crop stages.
