Product Description Profenofos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC is a broad spectrum insecticide used for effective control of both chewing and sucking type of insect pests in cotton. The combination belongs to the organophosphate and pyrethroid group which gives quick knock down as well as long duration residual activity. The product is highly effective against resistant pest populations where a single molecule is not working. It gives strong crop protection and supports healthy crop growth by reducing insect damage. Mode of Action Profenofos acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor which blocks nerve impulse transmission in insects and leads to paralysis and death. Cypermethrin works on the sodium channel of nerve membrane and causes hyper excitation and knock down effect. The dual mode of action with contact and stomach activity ensures rapid kill of insects and prevents further feeding damage.
