MIRAZ is a modern insecticide formulation that combines the power of Emamectin Benzoate and Fipronil in suspension concentrate form. It is designed for broad spectrum control of major chewing and sucking pests in different crops like cotton, chilli, cabbage, pigeon pea and many vegetables. Emamectin Benzoate is derived from natural soil actinomycete and acts as a strong larvicide while Fipronil is a phenylpyrazole insecticide that works against both insects feeding on leaves and those damaging roots. The combination provides a quick knock down effect and also long duration protection which helps in keeping the crop safe during its critical growth stages.
Mode of Action
Emamectin benzoate acts mainly on insect nervous systems by stimulating the release of gamma aminobutyric acid which causes continuous nerve signal transmission blockage leading to paralysis and death of larvae. It has strong translaminar action allowing it to move into leaf tissues where hidden larvae feed. Fipronil disrupts the normal function of gamma amino butyric acid gated chloride channels in insect nerve cells causing hyper excitation of nerves and death.
