Description Mesotrione 2.27% + Atrazine 22.7% SC is a selective pre-emergence and early post-emergence herbicide widely used in maize for controlling a broad spectrum of grassy and broadleaf weeds. The suspension concentrate formulation ensures uniform spray coverage and better adherence on soil and weed surface. It provides effective early season weed control which helps maize crop to establish well and achieve higher yield. Mode of Action Mesotrione acts by inhibiting 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase enzymes in weeds. This disruption prevents carotenoid biosynthesis which leads to chlorosis and plant death. Atrazine acts by inhibiting photosystem II in chloroplast, stopping electron transport and energy production in weed cells. The combination provides fast knockdown and prolonged residual weed control.
