Description Imidacloprid 0.3 GR is a systemic insecticide from a neonicotinoid group formulated as a granular form for soil application. It is widely used in crops like rice, sugarcane, cotton, groundnut and vegetables for the control of stem borer, root borer, jassid, aphid, thrips and termite. The granule formulation releases the active ingredient slowly in soil and protects the crop for a long duration. It is safe to crop and easy to apply at sowing or at the early stage of crop establishment. Mode of Action Imidacloprid acts on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors of the insect nervous system. It causes continuous stimulation of nerve cells which result in paralysis and death of insects. Being systemic it is absorbed by roots and translocated upward in the plant to protect new growth from sucking and soil insects.
