Fipronil 2.92% EC is an advanced termiticide used for the effective control of termites in pre and post construction buildings. It contains Fipronil as the active ingredient which belongs to the phenyl pyrazole group of insecticides. The product is formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate that ensures uniform dispersion in water for easy application. Fipronil acts at very low dose and gives long term protection to wooden structures, foundation and building surfaces.
Mode of Action:
Fipronil works through contact and ingestion. When termites come in contact with the treated soil or surface, it disrupts the central nervous system of the insect by blocking the GABA-gated chloride channels. This results in uncontrolled nerve impulses leading to paralysis and death. Fipronil has a unique non repellent nature which means termites cannot detect it and continue to contact and transfer it among the colony, ensuring complete elimination.Benefits:
