Clodinafop Propargyl 15% WP is a selective post emergence herbicide used for controlling narrow leaf weeds in wheat crops. It is absorbed rapidly through leaves and stems of weeds and translocated to growing points. It is highly effective against Phalaris minor, wild oats, canary grass and other problematic grassy weeds which compete with wheat plants for nutrients and moisture. The formulation is safe for wheat crops when applied at the recommended dose and growth stage. Mode of Action Clodinafop Propargyl is an ACCase inhibitor which blocks the activity of Acetyl CoA Carboxylase enzyme in sensitive weeds. This enzyme is essential for lipid biosynthesis and cell membrane formation. Inhibition results in disruption of fatty acid synthesis, leading to growth arrest and death of weeds while leaving wheat crop unharmed.
