Product Description Chlorpyrifos 35% + Fipronil 3.5% EC is a strong broad spectrum insecticide formulated with dual chemistry for higher effectiveness on different pests. Chlorpyrifos is an organophosphate compound widely used for soil insect and foliar pest while Fipronil is a phenylpyrazole insecticide acting on the nervous system of insects. The combination works very well on sucking pests as well as chewing pests in different crops like cotton paddy, sugarcane vegetables, pulses and fruit crops. It is known for its quick knock down action and also longer residual effect which protects crops for a long period from reinfestation. Mode of Action Chlorpyrifos act as acetylcholinesterase inhibitors which cause accumulation of acetylcholine at nerve junctions leading to paralysis and death of insects. Fipronil works by blocking the GABA gated chloride channel in insect nerve cells which disturb normal signal transmission and cause hyperexcitation of the nervous system.
