Carbendazim 46.27% SC is a systemic broad spectrum fungicide used for control of many fungal diseases in cereals, oilseeds, fruits vegetables and plantation crops. It belongs to the benzimidazole group and is formulated as suspension concentrate for better stability and easy application. It is effective against diseases like sheath blight anthracnose scab wilt powdery mildew and other seed and soil borne pathogens. The systemic action ensures movement inside the plant and protects new growth also. Mode of Action Carbendazim inhibits cell division in fungi by blocking the formation of spindle fibers during mitosis. This disrupts nuclear division and stops growth of fungal mycelium which ultimately kills the pathogen. Its systemic properties allow the molecule to translocate upward in the plant through xylem and protect untreated parts also.
