Bensulfuron Methyl 0.6% + Pretilachlor 6% GR is a selective pre-emergence herbicide used in transplanted and direct seeded rice. It combines sulfonylurea and chloroacetamide chemistry to provide broad spectrum weed management. The granular formulation makes it easy to apply directly in standing water which spreads uniformly in the field. This combination controls major sedges, broadleaf weeds and annual grasses at the early stage and gives the rice crop a clean and healthy start.
Mode of Action Bensulfuron Methyl inhibits acetolactate synthase enzymes which block the synthesis of branched chain amino acids in weeds leading to stunted growth and death. Pretilachlor inhibits cell division and elongation by blocking protein and lipid synthesis in susceptible weeds. Together they provide strong and complementary action giving season long protection.Benefits • Broad spectrum control of sedges grasses and broadleaf weeds in rice • Granular formulation easy to apply in standing water with uniform distribution • Dual mode of action provide complete weed management and delay resistance • Pre emergence activity ensure weed free condition during crop establishment • Long duration residual effect reduce need of repeated weeding • Enhance rice yield and quality by reducing early stage crop weed competition
